Filters and sorting in Insights

Insights have multiple filtering options to help you search through your data and organize it in the way that is the most relevant for you.

At the top of each report, you will find different filtering options. Any filters will be applied to each secondary report within a section as well as graphs. For example, any filter applied on the Embed Report will be applied to the Basic Usage table as well as Interactions table, Shares table, and graphs.

Date range

In all reports as well as the dashboard, you’re able to sort results by a selected date range:

  • Today – data available for the current calendar date
  • Yesterday – data for the previous calendar date
  • Last 7 days – data from the last 7 days, including available data for today
  • Last 14 days – data from the last 14 days, including available data for today
  • Custom date range – select any custom date range, where data for the selected start and end date are also included

Metadata

Metadata filter allows you to add one or more filters based on image metadata.

To apply it, click on the relevant metadata filter and provide a value for the meta tags you want to filter by. To apply the filter, click on the “+” icon next to it and the results will instantly be filtered to only show data for the embeds of the images matching the specified conditions.

For example, imagine that you want to see data only for images taken by a photographer John Doe. You should apply a metadata filter Author=John Doe to see all the images matching this condition.

Show home domain

This filter allows you to filter out data from your home domain, as specified in the Insights Settings.

To apply it, click on “More filters” and select “Show home domain” option (if you want to include it in the results) or deselect it (if you want to exclude it from the results). Please note that if you specified more than one home domain, they will all be included/excluded accordingly.

Exclude blacklisted domains

This filter allows you to filter out data from the domains you blacklisted in the Control section.

To apply it, click on “More filters” and select “Exclude blacklisted domains” option. Embeds from the blacklisted domain will no longer appear in the results. To show them again, simply deselect this option.

This option is most relevant for the historical data, as once you blacklist a domain, no embeds are displayed there anymore and no new data is being collected.

Exclude blocked embeds

This filter allows you to filter out data from the SmartFrames you blocked in Insights.

To apply it, click on “More filters” and select “Exclude blocked embeds” option. Blocked embeds will no longer appear in the results. To show them again, simply deselect this option.

This option is relevant mostly for the historical data, as once you block an embed, it is no longer displayed and does not collect new data.

Theme

This filter allows you to filter only data for SmartFrames which use a specific theme.

To apply it, click on themes filter and select which themes you want to include in the results.

Status
