Out-of-focus protection is a feature that ensures the highest level of protection against screenshots, whether they’re captured using default OS functionality or with the help of third-party software.
When this function is enabled, SmartFrame will display a semi-transparent overlay on top of the image whenever the mouse cursor is outside the browser window (when a viewer may be opening screen-grabbing software). When the mouse cursor is inside the browser window, your SmartFrame is fully viewable and interactive, so turning this feature on does not harm your viewers’ experience or distort the image in any way.
You can enable the Out-of-focus protection feature in the SmartFrame Panel in the Advanced settings page within your chosen Theme. In order to preview how this will work with an actual SmartFrame, just click the Preview button at the bottom of the page. This will open a full preview of the Theme, including the changes you’ve just made, even before you save them. Once you’re happy with the results, you can save the changes by clicking the Save button.
