How does SmartFrame work?
Monetize your images and display them in the highest possible quality, with interaction-boosting features, theft protection, and detailed analytics. Your images – your rules.
1. Upload and conversion
SmartFrame accepts conventional image formats, the sort produced by cameras and smartphones. But once such an image is uploaded to SmartFrame, it’s immediately broken up and encrypted, and converted into our proprietary format.
2. IPTC and C2PA metadata
If there is already IPTC metadata appended to the image, or even C2PA information that shows its provenance, this will stay with it once it’s converted into the SmartFrame format. This can be augmented with additional details, such as captions and copyright information.
3. Embedding the image
Once all the relevant details are in place, the image is ready to be embedded on a webpage. SmartFrame generates a short line of code, which simply needs to copied and pasted into a webpage’s HTML editing workspace for the image to appear.
4. Dynamic display
The image is now live and responds to all requests from the viewer. Zooming in or viewing in full screen? SmartFrame will deliver the detail required in real time. Want to see the caption? Mouse over the image and there it is. Streaming the image means it always looks great and functions exactly as required.
5. Analytics and control
Everything that happens on a SmartFrame – from views and clicks to theft attempts and more – is reported back to the owner of the image through our comprehensive analytics platform.
6. Theft protection
If someone tries to screenshot or right-click on your image, SmartFrame steps in and stops them, and lets you know. It even blocks drag-and-drop attempts and programmatic bot attacks designed to scrap the content of your site.
The process
From upload to publishing, SmartFrame ensures images retain their finest details, remain secure, and look flawless, wherever they’re embedded.
