How to embed a SmartFrame image on your WordPress site

WordPress user? Your workflow just got smoother. Browse and embed images from the SmartFrame Images library directly in your CMS with the SmartFrame Images plugin. Just follow the steps below.

1. Install the plugin

  • After installing the plugin, navigate to Dashboard > Settings > SmartFrame Library.
  • Click on Click here to generate an API key.
  • When prompted, log in to your SmartFrame account. You’ll then be redirected to the Integration section, where your API key will be displayed.

2. Generate API access token

  • In the Integration section, optionally add a name for your API, then click the Generate new API access token button.
  • A confirmation popup will appear. Click Copy and Close.
  • Return to the plugin’s settings page in your WordPress admin panel and paste the API key into the appropriate field. Click Save Changes, which should bring up a confirmation message.
  • Please contact us if you encounter any issues during this process.

3. Find your page

  • Now start a new post by clicking Add Post. Alternatively, open an existing post where you’d like to add a SmartFrame image.

4. Search for SmartFrame

  • Add a block by clicking the + button, then search for SmartFrame in the block search bar.

5. Search for an image

  • Select SmartFrame, then click Insert SmartFrame image. This will open a dialog where you can search through the SmartFrame Images collection without leaving your page.

6. Insert your image

  • Browse or search for an image, then click Insert into post.

7. Repeat as needed

  • You should now be back in the WordPress editor, with the image embedded in your post. Repeat the embedding process as needed.
