Sharing SmartFrame images
SmartFrame lets you share your images safely via social media, email, or a direct link, without ever giving away the original source file.
This protects your rights, even when images are shared on social media, and ensures viewers can only see your image in its secure SmartFrame format.
What happens when I share my image using SmartFrame?
When you share an image through SmartFrame, you’re actually sharing a link to a SmartFrame Image Page, a unique page where your image is displayed within SmartFrame, plus a small JPEG thumbnail. You can adjust the size of this thumbnail in the Control section of the Admin Panel.
This means that the original source file is not shared with anyone.
You can also track views, clicks, and interactions on the Image Page, just as you would for SmartFrame images on your website or other platforms.
Sharing images from the Admin Panel
-
Go to the Images section
-
Click the three-dots icon (beneath the thumbnail in grid view or on the right in list view)
-
Select Share from the menu
-
Choose your sharing method
-
Social media – A new window will open for you to log in and post
-
Email – Send directly from the SmartFrame Admin Panel
-
Direct link – Copy and paste the Image Page link into a message or document.
Other ways to share a SmartFrame image
If you switch on the Share button in Themes, anyone will be able to use it and share your SmartFrame images from where they are published (including the SmartFrame Image Page).
By default, they will then be sharing a link to the page where your SmartFrame image is published, but you can adjust these settings at any time in the Control section.
