embedded on the domain you specified as your home site are classed as onsite embeds. SmartFrames embedded on any other domain are classed as offsite embeds.

These two types of embed are displayed differently, as outlined below.

Attribution

Assuming Attribution has been enabled, offsite embeds will display Attribution along their base until mouseover action, at which point they will show a Caption instead (if enabled). Onsite embeds do not show Attribution at any time.

Design

While you can alter the design of interactive controls on onsite embeds, offsite embeds will always show these in the default SmartFrame color, as shown below.
